Jay Deady
President and Chief Executive Officer

Since December of 2010, Jay has served as president and chief executive officer of Awarepoint. In this role, Jay is responsible for driving the strategic vision for Awarepoint as well as attracting, retaining, and motivating an exceptional executive staff and senior management group. Jay also serves on the Awarepoint board of directors.
Prior to Awarepoint, Jay has had an outstanding career building high performing teams in healthcare information technology for over 23 years, including significant experience as a public corporate officer. He was most recently the executive vice president of client solutions for Eclipsys where he drove the global go-to-market and solution delivery strategies, and successfully positioned the company for its merger with Allscripts. Prior to Eclipsys, he was senior vice president and general manager of revenue cycle at McKesson Provider Technologies. He also held general manager and vice president positions with Cerner Corporation and ADAC Healthcare earlier in his career. Jay received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with emphasis in economics from Tufts University in Massachusetts.

Tim Roche
Chief Financial Officer

Tim has served as Chief Financial Officer of Awarepoint Corporation since February 2012 and interim Chief Financial Officer since November 1, 2011. Prior to Awarepoint, he was the co-founder, president and chief executive officer of MDdatacor, inc., a healthcare information technology company that enhances health care quality through the development of innovative technology solutions to support such programs as pay-for-performance, clinical integration and care coordination, and the patient-centered medical home. With more than 25 years experience as an entrepreneur, Tim has a successful track record in starting, financing and managing innovative high-growth companies. He has secured over $150 million in private and public equity financing for various companies in the technology and health care industries.
Prior senior management positions include: (i) chief financial officer of BrightLane.com, an ASP online business center focused on automating back office business processes; (ii) chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary of eCompanyStore.com, a business to business e commerce promotional products company; (iii) vice president of finance and corporate controller at Biofield Corp., a publicly-traded medical technology company; (iv) controller of Dianon Systems, Inc., a publicly-traded laboratory services company; and (v) senior supervisor at Arthur Andersen LLP. Tim is a certified public accountant.

Matt Perkins
Chief Technology Officer & Senior Vice President of Engineering

A key innovator, technology leader and visionary for next generation wireless technologies, Matt serves as chief technology officer and senior vice president of engineering for Awarepoint. In this role, Matt is responsible for system design, simulation, prototype development and merging innovation with entrepreneurial opportunity to increase Awarepoint’s market share in RTLS industries.
Prior, Matt spent 10 years at Motorola as the Technical Director of the Things-to-Things Research Center where he was responsible for aligning business partnerships with technology roadmaps, directing strategic joint research partnerships related to distributed sensor networks and leading the development of Motorola’s Asset Tracking and Smart Energy technologies. His extensive experience includes being an individual contributor in the design and simulation of low-power, low-rate wireless sensor network protocols and the development of social networking algorithms and proof-of-concept vehicles. He led research on radio-location technologies and wireless sensor network protocol development, contributed to the IEEE 802.15.4 and IEEE 802.15.3 standards. Matt also served as Motorola’s Director Representative for the ZigBee Board of Directors. He remains an active leader in the ZigBee Alliance as Chair of the ZigBee Healthcare Working Group.
Matt is an internationally known speaker on the topic of wireless sensor network technologies and a respected thought leader who is acknowledged by senior leadership teams, standards bodies and technical committees. Matt has authored 13 U.S. issued patents as well as numerous journal and conference publications. Matt graduated from the University of Florida with both Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering.

Merrie Wallace, R.N., B.S.N., M.N.
CNO & Executive Vice President of Product Solutions

Merrie brings 20 years of innovating with McKesson Corporation and other healthcare technology companies and healthcare provider organizations in strategic executive roles. She brings an exceptional combination of leadership experience from managing complex hospital systems, to providing strategic guidance in business development, product management, sales, and marketing.
At Awarepoint, she is responsible for aligning product development and marketing initiatives with customer needs and healthcare technology trends to drive workflow automation and process improvement methodologies.
Merrie earned a Master of Nursing Administration degree from Emory University in Atlanta and a bachelor of science in nursing from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

Bob Love
Executive Vice President, Professional Services

Bob oversees Awarepoint’s network installation and customer support functions, bringing more than 25 years of experience in hardware/software installation, system configuration, network administration, and security to Awarepoint’s ZigBee-based mesh network installations. His responsibilities include network design, architecture, implementation, and management. His broad working knowledge of network monitoring tools supports Awarepoint’s fully-managed network maintenance services.
Bob’s career spans Fortune 500 and start-up companies where he has focused on product delivery and client relationships. He has customer service experience in markets ranging from healthcare to higher education, where he has consistently demonstrated excellent organization skills, the ability to team with others on complex projects, a strong work ethic, and a drive to satisfy customers. His tenacity and willingness to think out-of-the-box has earned him respect and admiration from customers, his team members, and
top-level management alike.

Dennis O’Leary, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer

A much-admired and influential leader in healthcare, Dennis serves as chief strategy officer of Awarepoint. In this role, he creates and sustains strategic initiatives specifically focused on regulatory requirements impacting safe, quality patient care. Prior, Dennis served a 21-year tenure as President at The Joint Commission. During that time, he led the successful transformation of its accreditation process to focus on actual organization performance in the provision of patient care.
Before The Joint Commission, Dennis served as Dean for Clinical Affairs at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and Vice President of the George Washington University Health Plan. At George Washington, he achieved the faculty rank of Professor of Medicine and served as Medical Director of the University Hospital. O’Leary has been active in a variety of professional activities. Among them, Dennis served as a member of the board of directors of the National Quality Forum and as a member of the National Advisory Council of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. In 2000, he was identified by Modern Healthcare as “one of the 25 most influential leaders in health care”.
Dennis earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, New York, NY and his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College, Cambridge, MA.
