Awarepoint’s complete solutions are ready to support your enterprise-wide asset tracking, infection prevention, and workflow needs.

Awarepoint’s aware360°Platform facilitates hospital-wide, but department specific workflow solutions. This robust platform is also used to monitor hand hygiene compliance and temperature monitoring.

The AwarenetTM network is quick to deploy and designed to handle large facility and enterprise tracking. This network allows you to locate objects and people to specific rooms within your facility. Our managed solutions keep the network and the platform running at peak performance for you.

Awarepoint provides the only complete solution for your enterprise needs.

Awarepoint’s awareAssets: Hospital Asset Tracking Plus

Tracking resources in every room and every location, every minute of every day, speeds and improves the quality of patient care while reducing costs. Awarepoint provides best practice guidelines and proven results associated with TRUST (Tracking, Rentals, Utilization, Shrinkage and Temperature Monitoring). These initial value drivers deliver a hard dollar return and provide a scalable platform for numerous additional solutions. Healthcare asset management is the easiest and most cost effective way to boost your bottom line, delivering an immediate return on your investment by reducing costs and raising productivity.

Moving beyond basic tracking offered by other companies, Awarepoint’s best-in-class solution awareAssets is a web-based enterprise visibility and workflow automation system that interprets asset location, maps staff and patient movements, and reports in real-time the interactions between any of these entities. The awareAssets solution incorporates our ZigBee mesh locating network and devices (the Awarenet network), our vast experience interfacing with existing hospital IT systems, and automated notifications to drive workflow throughout your enterprise.

Hospital and health care facilities can scale their implementations by the entities they wish to track and use to drive workflow (movable medical equipment, patients, staff), by the purpose (infection control, temperature monitoring, asset tracking, patient flow), and by the scope of hospital workflow (enterprise-wide, acute care, inpatient floors, outpatient services).

We begin by gathering data via our AwarenetTM network. We then tie into other systems, such as your equipment management system or ADT system. This data can then be delivered via the most powerful and complete asset management application available, awareAssets.

The awareAssets par level module, one of several modules within the system, helps clinical engineering and materials management staff ensure that units facility-wide have the optimal supply of assets at any time. The software also provides insight into the utilization levels of each piece of equipment. Reports can suggest opportunities for reducing the inventory of equipment not in regular use or determining if utilization can be increased.

The use of awareAssets mobile helps dispatchers and transporters know the location and status of patients, staff, or equipment while moving through a chaotic health care environment.  For example, a transporter can find patients in the transport queue, view basic information about them, select a patient to transport based on priority, and specify his or her destination.

Our customers consistently, and often dramatically, improve their operating performance. They treat more patients more quickly without increasing lead times, staffing levels, or capital expenditures. Most importantly, awareAssets achieves all of these objectives as well as improving patient and staff safety.

Temperature Monitoring

Today most monitoring of temperature-controlling assets requires manual logging and reliance on nursing, pharmacy, or laboratory staff walking the floors for the task of recording temperatures on hundreds of assets. Mobile assets such as food carts and blood coolers require insight into both the current location and current temperature. Out of compliance events and correct actions must be recorded to comply with regulatory agency requirements.

Awarepoint’s automated temperature monitoring module provides health care facilities the ability to monitor temperature-sensitive items including tissue, lab results, blood bags, medication, and food, meeting strict Joint Commission standards.

Awarepoint temperature monitoring tags can be placed into any temperature controlling device and be programmed to record temperature as frequently as desired. Alerts to responsible personnel can be sent via email, pages, or texting should any of the monitored devices be trending towards out of compliance. Corrective action documentation and logging is accessible from any computer throughout the facility, and reports are easily retrieved to comply with regulatory agency requirements.

The temperature monitoring module can be used as a stand-alone platform or be integrated with our enterprise asset tracking solution, awareAssets. This combination provides a system capable of monitoring temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as well as tracking the location of mobile, temperature-sensitive items.
