Patient location, movement, and interactions with tagged staff and clinical equipment trigger automatic updates to the web-based software which employs OR workflow locating and workflow rules to recognize patient care milestones. Staff access unit-level department views such as Registration, Pre-Op, OR, Post-Op/PACU to anticipate and manage their workflow. The surgery schedule is presented electronically with updates on status occurring automatically. Roadblocks to care progression can be quickly flagged as well as checklist items reviewed all ensuring that patient flow is not delayed because of a lack of information on the status of a patient.
